Other Pieces
In this Gallery I have put images of my ceramics that
explore a variety of themes. Sometimes it is not until I
have completed a piece that I realise what it represents,
sometimes I am never quite sure.
My ceramics have both figurative and narrative elements.
I try to express that which cannot be put into words; a
moment in time, fleeting memories, a conversation. With
some of my ceramics I try to create an impression of
inner life, perhaps the sense of someone wrapped in side,
wriggling around, or quietly watching.

I have developed a series of markings or symbols to
represent the different elements of the world as it appears
to me, to represent home, family, spirituality.
The logo which I use on most pieces depicts two spirals,
one flowing clockwise, the other anti-clockwise. It has
evolved from the J and F of my initials but has become
a kind of yin yang symbol.
